What is Zero Waste?
While there are many definitions for zero waste, in simple terms, it can be defined as the philosophy and the efforts of all conserving resources by means of responsible production, consumption, reuse, and recovery of products, packaging, and materials without burning and with no discharges to land, water, or air that threaten the environment or human health.
It aims to increase recycling, decrease waste, decrease consumption, and make sure that things may be repaired, reused, or recycled back into the environment or the market.
Our Zero Waste Efforts
When we were formulating and testing our products, not only did we focus on the ingredients, but also its packaging; our 100% natural drawstring bags for our biodegradable Mediterranean Bath Sea Sponges, our recycled cloth fabrics for our Handmade soaps, compostable cardboard boxes for our Cast Iron and Clay cookware and 100% wooden Handmade Lil’ Tots toys with all-natural plant-based dyes to name a few.
In our offices, we utilise materials and stationary as mindful as possible. We do not use single-use plastic products, often encouraging our team to bring their reusable water bottles or cutlery. In addition, we often digitize documents to reduce paper usage and recycle them.
Although we cannot eliminate all waste or cut out plastic in our packaging, it is our goal to continuously improve and find ways to redesign how we package and how we work.
